This nationally acclaimed not-for-profit theater began in 1974 in a church basement in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, under the leadership of Gary Sinise, Terry Kinney, and Jeff Perry. The company offers excellent theater with occasional performances by actors such as John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, John Mahoney, Martha Plimpton, and Laurie Metcalf.
